![]() Unlike Tidal with their fake claims and worse sound quality. I think it sounds amazing at best and true to what they say it should sound like at worse(16 bit lossless). If not then Deezer hi-fi should be more than enough for most of the people. They aren't giving what they say they're giving. So my conclusion here is don't but Tidal at any cost. At least for this particular song I tested. ![]() I would say the difference are pretty much non existent. Now let's talk about the difference between Qobuz and deezer version. I am going to link both comparison files at the end of this post for you guys. Don't believe me? You can listen it here or try it yourself. The difference between Qobuz's 24 bit version and Tidal 24 bit version was astonishing. What would you think would be the result? Tidal and Qobuz should be close right because they are both 24 bit 44.1khz (for this specific track) while the deezer is 16 bit 44.1 But oh boy the result was quite different. So now I put 3 different versions of this track in audition and compared them which each other. But 2002 was not available as high res on Qobuz, so I chose Everything I wanted by billie eilish. Which I can use for the benchmark to compare both the other versions to. So I thought that if everyone trusts Qobuz, I also can trust it to provide me with the best source. So I researched more about it and found the Qobuz was like a goto service for the audiophiles. One of them was the right one and other was messing the source file. Like I could clearly hear the whole song different.Īt this point I knew that Tidal and deezer were different. Both were significantly different from each other. So I took both the audio file and put them side to side in Adobe audition and change the polarity of one version. The vocals sounded way tinnier on tidal than what my mind expected them to sound like while on deezer it was perfect. I chose this song because I felt quite a significant difference in this song. Tidal MQA version and Deezer's hi-fi version. ![]() So I downloaded tracks from both sourced Tidal and deezer. So now I kinda wanted to know was If what I am liking is what I should be liking or am I mad or something for liking lower quality music. ![]() Everything felt like how it should be on deezer. Bass would not have that natural thud on tidal. Vocals sounded tinnier on tidal compared to deezer. It was like I was listening to music on tidal while I was feeling the music on deezer. How can a lower bitrate version sound better than the high res version. Hack for the first few days, I kept denying to myself. Somehow songs on deezer sounded better than tidal masters. So I kinda assumed that this would sound worse than tidal.īut when I started listening to deezer. I knew that deezer was 16 bit 44.1 khz lossless compared to 24 bit MQAs of tidal. (that too using vpn) Because none of this services are officially available where I leave including Tidal. ![]() Out of Qobuz, Amazon music HD and deezer, only deezer was available at a respectable price. So after watching this video I kinda thought of trying some other audio streaming service that provides high quality audio streaming. Forgive me for that) This is the video I am talking about if anyone here still hasn't watched it. (I am not an audiophile by any means so this is the best I can describe. But recently I cam across the video you are probably familiar with that goes in-depth about many tests how MQA change the source and adds noise, etc. So I am a Tidal hi-fi subscriber for more than a year now. ![]()
